Custom Made Tele® Style Guitars

                  The Cedar Build

Well this one started off as a bet

You can't make a guitar out of that

Well after much time with the planer jointer sander and elbow grease

When I did my metal scan before I went to the planer

I found a tack with 1922 stamped on the head

This post was taken from the fencing on the Railroad Track

It was put up in the early 1900's

You can see why cedar was used. The inside of this

post was just like the day it was cut

This is what we ended up with

Well I just love binding on a tele

The binding on this has 2 purposes

For looks and because cedar is so soft it will

help protect the edges

Then it was time for the pickup routing and the ferrule holes

Now it's sanding and finishing time

Here it is with a couple coats of nitro

Many more to come

Just a couple updated pics

More nitro

The colors are really starting to come out now

Well after a month of waiting it is sanding and buffing time

Turned out pretty good for an old post
