I have had these two ash boards in my shop for quite a while
They are both cutoffs from other ash builds
The grain really doesn't match so I decided to plane them down and cap them
They are pretty heavy so I figured I better chamber it

Nothing major, just wanted to lighten it up a bit
Now,what to cap it with
I have lots of maple sets here
But.....
I also have a couple sets of Lacewood I got for a good
price because there was a big crack in it
I managed to get 2 sets out of it,let's use one
I glued it up,routed it and cut out an f-hole
This stuff is not real nice to work with, kinda splintery(is that a word?)

This set has kind of an ugly on the front edge but most of it
will be gone after I cut the neck pocket
Out with the clamps

OK,time to take the daughter fishing
I will pull the clamps later

OK
Were back, too windy and too many people
We will try again tomorrow
I was gone long enough for my glue to dry
Pulled the clamps, cleaned it up a bit and did the roundover

Then I sanded it to 220 and wiped it down to get
rid of the dust. Now what to do with it
